Description

For Kaltim Prima Coal the overland conveyor is the main feed conveyor into the coal handling facility. To accommodate a greater capacity, the conveyor velocity was increased to 1702 fpm. This conveyor system diverts onto either feed conveyors or the diverter splits the material flow. Due to the conveyor's high speed, there is an emergency dump facility. In the event of an emergency stop, the hood diverts to the emergency dump legs. This conveyor system is fully sealed to minimize dust. Flexco Engineered Systems Group's CFMTS® technology was fully utilized throughout the design of this conveyor system and delivers the desired outcome for Kaltim Prima Coal.
